I am not even talking about people being sick anymore. I refuse to acknowledge it. We’re all going outside and sitting in the sun until we feel better, and if it’s not sunny out then I’m crawling under the blankets to wait for spring.
Unfortunately, because I have many children in my house, they crawl under the blankets with me to whine about being bored and ask me for snacks. Then I tell them not to touch the baby’s head for the seven thousandth time and stare into the abyss before I give myself a pep talk and try not to yell at people. It’s been a long week, and we’ve still got sick kids in the house. The flu has been systematically picking them off one by one and at this point I honestly don’t know if I should just have them lick each other or if there’s hope for some to avoid it.
