Recently, my friend
had the idea to do an “Ask Me Anything” post. I so enjoyed the results of it — you can read the first one here — so I thought I’d try something similar.It’s a way for me to hear from you, and depending on what the questions are, I might group them together thematically, or just do a post or two with the ones that seem most fun to answer. Of course, I reserve the right to answer in a capacity that honors my family and myself —this is still the Internet after all.
Like I say in my bio, “I don’t have the answers, but I’d like to keep you company.”
Questions, I realize, often open up facets of our story that we don’t think to talk about, but that might connect us with others. Lately, one of the women in my circle has been texting simple questions to a group chat, and I’ve loved hearing the answers from everyone. Simple prompts like asking us to give three words to describe our current state, or asking what recently gave us joy, end up illuminating daily realities.
